Prediction
For my second reading book I am reading The Battle of Jericho. I am going to reflect what was one of the most significant moments so far. Going back ,Jericho, the main character was at school he was with his cousin Josh and his friend Kofi. They were eating lunch when suddenly they see the Warriors of Distinction which is a club highly respected by the whole community. The club even conducts a toy drive at the holiday season for needy children. But under the surface the club has many undisclosed activities known only to those who go through the secret initiation rituals. They have asked them to meet them at a warehouse for a secret meeting at 12 am. Jericho, Josh and Kofi are very excited but crepped out about the meeting because it seemed very mysteries but they wouldn't miss it for nothing. Basically Jericho and his friends were asked to pledge for the Warriors of Distinction. So they did. The pledge consisted in all the things they agreed to do and be. They pledge that they will be loyal, obedient etc. One day Jericho and Kofi were at the mall shopping for Christmas gifts when they see Rick one of the official members of the club. He tells them that he is in a mission he is buying ornaments for the Christmas tree that they are gonna give to the children in need. He tells them that they will receive a challenge to see if they really want to be considered an official member. He tells them to go to store and grab some ornaments for the tree. I believe this is one of the most significant moments so far because Jericho has to make a decision whether to do something he doesn't agree in, to gain acceptance from the most popular kids in school, or go with his beliefs and loose an opportunity that might change his high school years.

2nd idie reading
Dear Sharon M. Draper,
Well i have just recently finished November Blues and is starting on The battle of JERICHO.I really enjoyed November blues it was great and very life relating you don't have to go threw the same experience to be able to understand . Now in days you can see more girls get pregnant and never really know what they go threw. It was a good book to see what is behind all off that. I have just finished the first chapter of The battle of JERICHO. It was very interesting from the beginning, I felt like it started off very good.

Final
So i really enjoyed the book. It was really realistic. Many teenagers pass threw this situation when they have to make the biggest decision ever that can change their life forever. In this case November the main character is put in that situation weather to be responsible for her actions or to give her daughter away, and move on with her plans for college. The reason i choose this picture because it relates very much to the story. At the end of the story November is faced with another situation her daughter is premature, and will face many disabilities in the future.

"Am i reading you right?
"So you're telling me that you want to wait a few months to see if the baby will have physical or mental problems, then, if shes perfectly normal, they still want to take the baby from me, but if the baby is messed up, I get to keep her. Am i reading you right?"
So about 3 months have passed since November had the meeting with Joshes parents. November had gone to a football game away from home she had felt sick along the way back. She had notice that her baby was gonna be born. A helicopter arrived at the scene because she needed help immediately. She was sent to the hospital and had her baby. She was very worried because the baby was premature. The doctor walked in the room she talked to November how they thought that either in the womb or just after delivery Sunshine suffered a lack of oxygen. The doctor described how her little girl might face some challenges in the future because of that, by having development delays and some learning disabilities. After the lawyer Henderson Grant walked in. Told November how him and Joshes parent have been all morning talking to the doctors and trying to assess the condition of the baby. He told her how they had previously gone to take the papers for her to sign so the Prescotts could take custody of the child when she was released from the hospital. He explained that because of the premature birth, and the associated physical problems that can occur with such births, that his clients would like to put on hold the decision for a few months until the developments became more clear. And how the Prescotts will have to determine how a disabled child would affect their lives. November responded with the quote above. She basically just told them what really was going on. She was really furriest at that moment.

"Oh my God!"
"Oh my God! The baby kicked me. That's the first time I felt it move!"-November
So when November and her mother got home, the telephone answering machine was blinking. November sunk down on the sofa, picked up the phone, dialed the code to check the messages. The caller ID indicated it was from somebody named Henderson Grant, attorney-at-law. November thought it might be another of those annoying salesmen. The message basically said that they would like to meet with them at the earliest convenience to discuss the future of her unborn child. Brock and Marlene Prescott, would liked to make the process painless and profitable for her. November and her mom walked in the office and saw a man very well dressed smiling as well as Joshes parents. The lawyer started to say that the Prescott's would like to make an offer, they would like to adopt her unborn child. They started bribing her with words like how they would give her a lot of money how her child would be in the best hands. How the baby would have everything he/she needed. A room to his/her self so many toys for him/her to play with it. They also said that November didn't have to worry about anything that she could continue her plans of going to college and with the money they were offering her she could go to the best college. As they went on suddenly the room was silent, November refused to look at anyone she leaned back in the cushioned chair and placed her hands over her belly and prayed. She realized that they basically wanted her to sell her baby. She had dought's she thought that maybe the right thing to do was what was best for the baby. November knew that she didn't really love Josh and how she didn't want a baby, how she could still go away to college. Maybe it was her chance to make everything right. November looked up she opened her mouth to speak and closed it. She said "there's no need to drag all summer. I've made my decision , I have chosen to-" then she stopped. Lifted up her hands as if they'd were stung looked down her belly with wonder. And felt the baby move for the first time.
